WILL OF JOHN QUINE SENIOR OF ARDERRY 1855
In the name of God Amen I John Quine of Adderry in the parish of Kk Conchan and the Abbey Lands of Braddan being in sound mind and memory health of body and understanding praised bt god for the same do make this my last Will and Testamant in manner following -
First I give and bequeath to my son John Quine the sum of 3L and to my daughter Jane the sum of 3L widow of the late Thomas Kelly of the Lhergyrhenny in the parrish of Lezayre
Also I give and bequeath to the poor of the parrish of Braddan the sum of 4L to be to be divided at the discretion of the wardens of said parrish
And lastly I leave and bequeath to my son Robert Quine all the rest residue and remainder of my money goods cgattles and effects not herein before mentioned given or disposed of after the payment of my just debts funeral expences and the expences of proving this my Last Will and Testament revokeing all former wills by me made and leaving one shilling as legacy to all persons who have a right in this my last will and do make nominate constitute and appoint my said son Robert Quine sole executor of this my last Will and Testament in Wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this the twenty ninth day of March one Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty five 1855
