LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of ELIZA ANN QUINE

nee CORLETT of DOUGLAS - 1932

 

THIS IS AFFIRMED TO BE THE LASI' WILL AND TESTAMENT of me ELIZA ANN QUINE of "Arderry" Cronkbourne Road in the Borough of Douglas Widow I revoke all wills and testamentary dispositions by me made and I hereby appoint my son Edmund Corlett Quine of Ballachrink East Baldwin Braddan and my daughter Annie 'Isabel Quine of "Arderry" Cronkbourne Road aforesaid Executors and Trustees hereof and I declare that the expression "My Trustees" when used in this my will includes said Edmund Corlett Quine and Annie Isabel Quine and the surviver of them and the executors and administrators of such survivor I beqeath to my said daughter Annie Isabel Quine the whole of my household furniture plate glass linen china books pictures and all other my household effects which at the time of my death shall be in or about my dwelling house "Arderry" aforesaid or in or about such other dwelling house in which I may be residing at the time of my death absolutely By virtue of the power of appointment conferred upon me by the will of my late father Robert Corlett which bears date the 11th day of January 1886 I do hereby appoint and devise the dwelling house and premises situate and numbered 91 in Strand Street in the town of Douglas with the small cottage in the rear to my Trustees Upon Trust to suffer and permit my said daughter Annie Isabel Quine to occupy and enjoy the same or the rents issues and profits thereof for and during the term of her natural life and upon her death leaving issue her surviving then Upon Trust for such issue and if more than one in equal shares But if my said daughter Annie Isabel Quine shall die without leaving issue her surviving then Upon Trust to sell and convert the same into money and to divide the proceeds of such sale and conversion equally amongst such of my two daughters Amy Elizabeth Crowe and Gertrude Crowe as shall then be living and the issue then living of any such two daughters as shall then be dead in equal shares such issue however to take between them only the share to which his her or their deceased mother would if then living have taken All the rest residue and remainder of my property real and personal or over which I shall have any power of appointment or disposition I appoint devise and bequeath to such of my four children the said Edmund Corlett Quine Annie Isabel Quine Amy Elizabeth Crowe and Gertrude Crowe as shall be living at my death and the issue then living of any such four children as shall then be dead in equal shares such issue however to take between them only the share to which his her or their deceased parent would if then living have taken AND I declare that the benefits hereby conferred upon any daughter or grand-daughter of mine shall be for her own sole and separate use independently of any huband and of his debts control and engagements and that her receipt alone notwithstanding coverture shall be a good discharge for any moneys paid to her...
